Privacy Policy
Your data, kept small.
Effective October 6, 2026. This policy explains what Sorn (the iPhone app “Sorn: Deep Work”, “we”) collects, why, who processes it, and how to delete it. Sorn has no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address and how you sign in (Apple, Google or email and password). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Apple or Google, they share your email address with us (Apple may give a private relay address), and our authentication provider may keep the basic profile they share, such as your name.
- What you write and plan in Sorn. Your daily priorities, time blocks and their tasks, when blocks started, paused and ended, your reflection questions, your Close the Day answers, your settings, and your phone’s time zone. This is stored on your phone and synced to your account so it’s backed up and available on your other devices.
- Your subscription. Whether you have an active subscription, which plan, and when it renews or ends. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, a report with technical details (the error, the app and iOS version, the device model) is sent so we can fix it. Reports don’t include your name, email address or anything you’ve written.
What stays on your phone
Notifications are scheduled on your phone; we don’t run a notification server. The lock-screen widget and Live Activity read your day from your phone. When you save a share card, Sorn only adds that image to your photo library; it never reads your photos.
Who processes it
We use a few service providers, only for running Sorn:
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in and the database that stores your synced data.
- RevenueCat: subscription status, using a random account identifier and Apple’s purchase records.
- Sentry: crash reports.
- Resend: sends password-reset emails.
- Apple and Google: sign-in, if you choose them, and Apple for payments.
They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms, and may store it in the United States or other countries.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings › Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and everything synced to it right away (copies in encrypted backups expire within a short period). Signing out erases Sorn’s data from that phone. If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes Sorn’s access to your Apple ID.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription: that’s billed by Apple and is cancelled in your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to support@sornapp.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have additional rights, which we’ll honor.
Children
Sorn isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
